I take great pleasure and pride as you dedicate the Katharine Hepburn Cultural Arts Center today.
As a member of the original capital campaign committee, and as one who worked to secure government economic assistance, historic restoration and culture and tourism grants for this facility, this is the long-awaited day that Old Saybrook’s former theater, and former town hall completes its restoration and renovation into this new and stunning cultural arts center.
Congratulations to all who have been involved with the center for more than seven years. This is a culmination of those countless hours of dedication and determination.
